Guidelines for Abstract preparation

Guidelines for abstract preparation

  • Abstracts related to all aspects related to systematic, phylogeny, biogeography, ecology, evolution and conservation on animal species in the eastern Mediterranean region are welcome in the format of oral or poster presentation.
  • All abstracts should be written in English, which is the official language of the 14th ICZEGAR.
  • Abstracts must contain original material, not published or presented at any other international meeting prior to the 14th ICZEGAR.
  • Abstracts must not exceed 250 words. Authors shall indicate a preferred presentation format (e.g. oral or poster presentation).
  • The abstract template should be followed.
  • Abstract submissions shall include the following information: Introduction and aim, materials and methods, results and discussion.
  • The abstract contains text only – graphs, pictures, and tables cannot be inserted. The abstract should be written in English using the font type Calibri (11 point), with single-spaced lines. Title of the abstract is bolded. Authors’ names are written in full (given name and family name) and the presenter should be underlined. Authors are separated by commas and marked with superscript when necessary to distinguish authors from different affiliations. Author’s affiliation (institution name only) and country (avoid abbreviations except for those in very common usage, such as UAE, UK, USA) and the first author’s email address are included in italics. Abstract text is a single paragraph and not to exceed 250 words. Up to six keywords NOT in the title may be added at the bottom of the abstract.
