On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our great honor to invite any professional or student who shares our mutual interest in Zoology to the 14^th International Congress on the Zoogeography and Ecology of Greece and Adjacent Regions (ICZEGAR) that will be held in Thessaloniki, Greece in June 2019 (27-30 June 2019).

The scope of the 14^th ICZEGAR Congress includes all thematic areas related to systematic, phylogeny, biogeography, ecology, evolution, and conservation on animal species in the eastern Mediterranean region. Research concerning all aspects of animal biodiversity (terrestrial, subterranean, freshwater and marine) within a geographical region that includes the Balkan and Italian peninsulas, Asia Minor and Anatolia, as well as the Mediterranean coasts of Africa are welcome. The official language of the 14^th ICZEGAR is English.

The long and successful tradition of the ICZEGAR congresses during the last 42 years has shown that ICZEGAR is an important forum for contact and information exchange among scientists working on a wide range of subjects at a biodiversity hot spot.
